Our southside client is a stable and growing company seeking to fill a Staff Accountant role. This position will report to the Controller and focus on the general ledger activities of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares various monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Perform financial analysis of various balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Help drive process improvement and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Review contracts and amendments to ensure accurate pricing.
- Support budget activities.
- Assists Controller with Fixed Asset reporting.
- Provide weekly cash management reporting.
- Calculate and record accruals related to purchases and sales.
- Performs ad hoc financial analysis for management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 1+ years of accounting experience required
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
