Today I was reminded that this is a very special day for everyone here at Milliner & Associates. Monday, November 5, 2012 marks the 5 year anniversary of the start of our professional staffing firm. I often tell people how blessed I am as a father, husband, son, brother, community member and business owner. Even as my memory seems to fail, I’m not blind to the fact that nothing would have been possible without the love, support and effort of everyone involved in my life.

As many of us have been affected by this rough economy in some way or another, I take great pride in the industry in which I operate each day. Our firm has seen great success over this short period of time, in not only terms of our own growth, but in the advancement of people’s careers and lives that we assist every day. I couldn’t think of a more rewarding profession than the one I chose over 16 years ago.

One of my early lessons in this industry was a maxim that holds true in life. You treat each and every client and candidate with the same level of respect and attention as you would like to be treated. We’ve had the great pleasure of working with some of the best companies and candidates here in Indiana and across the Midwest and I’d like to extend our deepest appreciation for working with us!

I recently read that as many as 50% of small businesses fail by the 5th year of operation and that the main reason for failure is “lack of experience”. I can proudly say that there isn’t a more dedicated and talented group of professionals I’d rather be associated with than the people here in our office. Yes, our company may only be 5 years old today, but as I look upon the people in our firm, it dawned on me that we have amassed over 50+ years of professional staffing experience. As amazing as that sounds, do you know what makes it even more special? They all want to use that experience here.
